Privacy Policy

This privacy policy defines and informs you of how Airtex, as data controller, uses and protects the information you provide when you use the airtex.fr website (hereafter "the Site").

This privacy policy may be amended or supplemented by Airtex at any time. Any update will be expressly dated. These changes are binding on you as soon as they are published online, and we recommend that you review them regularly.

By using the Site, you expressly consent to our privacy policy, which you acknowledge having fully read and understood.

1. Information collected

Airtex collects personal information about you when you make a purchase or create an account on the Site. The information collected includes your first name, last name, email address, postal address, and phone number.

When you place an order on the Site, your banking details are collected for transaction purposes and are processed securely and encrypted directly by our payment provider, Stripe. Airtex never has access to your complete banking details (card number) and does not store them.

Finally, we automatically receive and record certain technical information from your browser, including your IP address, when you visit the Site.

2. Purposes of information collection

All the information we collect from you is used to:
• fulfil your order;
• contact you by email or phone, notably as part of order management or to send you important information about the Site, such as changes to our terms and policies;
• inform you about products, programs, services, and promotions that may interest you, subject to your prior consent;
• improve the performance of our Site;
• personalize your experience on the Site and meet your individual needs.

This processing is necessary for the performance of our contractual obligations and is based on our legitimate interest in improving our services and understanding the expectations of the Site's users.

3. Retention period

Airtex only retains personal data for as long as necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. In particular:
• customer data, i.e. relating to persons who have made a purchase on the Site, is kept for order tracking and customer relationship purposes for a maximum of three years from the date of the relevant order;
• prospect data, i.e. relating to persons who have created an account on the Site without making a purchase, is kept for two years from its collection or from the prospect's last connection to the Site;
• information stored via cookies or any other means allowing user traceability is kept for twelve months.

Please note that banking details collected for transaction purposes are never retained by Airtex beyond the completion of your order, as these are processed directly by Stripe.

4. Recipients and subcontractors

Airtex is solely responsible for the information collected on the Site. Your personal information will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to another company for commercial purposes without your consent.

This data may, however, be entrusted to subcontractors for the proper execution of orders placed or for the operation of the Site, notably:
• Shopify (hosting of the Site and the online sales platform, order management, and customer account management);
• Stripe (secure payment processing).

These providers are in no way authorized to use your data for purposes outside the strict scope of their mission, nor to sell, exchange, or transfer it to third parties.

Your data may also be shared with third parties, only within the limits authorized: (a) under applicable law, (b) to comply with legal proceedings, (c) to respond to requests from governmental and public authorities, (d) to ensure compliance with our terms of sale and use, (e) to protect our rights and interests as well as those of other users of the Site.

5. Protection of information

We implement a variety of security measures to preserve the security of your personal information. Exchanges between your browser and the Site are encrypted (HTTPS), and the processing of your banking data is entirely delegated to Stripe, a PCI-DSS certified provider.

We ensure that any provider or subcontractor we engage in the collection and processing of your data provides adequate guarantees regarding confidentiality, use, and data protection.

6. Right of access, rectification, and objection

You have the right to access, restrict, rectify, erase, and object to the use of your personal data provided to the Site.

Any request to this effect should be sent to the Site's data controller by email at contact@airtex.fr.

Given our security and confidentiality obligations in the processing of personal data, any request must be accompanied by a copy of an identity document (identity card, passport, driving licence).

We will respond within a maximum of one month of receiving your request.

To assist you with your requests, the CNIL (French Data Protection Authority) has drafted template letters allowing you to request:
